Netherlands: ranking of the fastest-growing companies, by jobs created 2015-2018

The statistic displays the ranking of the ten fastest-growing companies in the Netherlands from 2015 to 2018, by number of new jobs created. The fastest-growing company in the Netherlands in this period was online supermarket Picnic, which had an annual growth percentage of over 160 percent. Between 2015 and 2018, just under 1,700 new jobs were created at Picnic. Retailer Action, which had a growth percentage of 21 percent in this period, created 10,000 new jobs between 2015 and 2018.

A company is considered a scale-up when it has an annual turnover growth and/or employment numbers (in FTE) of at least 20 percent in the period between 2015 and 2018. Next to that, a company is required to have a turnover of at least five million euros or ten FTE employees at the beginning of the three-year period considered. To be included in the list, the headquarters of the organization have to be located in the Netherlands, and the annual growth has to be an organic growth mainly.

The Top 10 is based on companies that created the most jobs during this period and showed the highest average annual growth in employees. The company created the highest number of new jobs in this period therefore is not necessary also the fastest-growing company.
