The sales of catering units in Hungary followed an increasing trend until 2019. However, as a consequence of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, sales generated by catering services decreased in 2020 and amounted to 1.07 trillion forints. Over the following years, figures picked up again and reached 2.3 trillion forints in 2023.
