Public opinion on India's global influence and image following the 2014 general elections had about 88 percent of Indians surveyed believing that the country's global influence and image had witnessed an improvement as of February 2019. This was a drastic decrease from 90 percent in 2016.

Note: The original survey question was phrased as follows: "Do you feel India's image and influence in the world has improved in the last 5 years?".

The survey is in reference to the government formed after the 2014 general elections, which is the 16th Lok Sabha. The legislative term is for a five year duration. The elections are scheduled to be held in 2019.

*For the year 2019, the share of results was obtained from the participation of 8,525 of the 65,000 people who responded to this particular poll.
