The installed capacity for electricity generation in Brazil has been continuously increasing in recent years. In 2022, the South American country's installed capacity surpassed 189 gigawatts, an increase of nearly four percent from the previous year. That same year, Brazil's electricity generation stood at roughly 677 terawatt-hours.
