The statistic shows the results of a survey that was conducted from August to October 2018 about the mobile payment usage in stores in the Asia Pacific region. During the period examined, 86 percent of the respondents from China claimed to have paid their purchase in-store using mobile payment. The same was stated by 67 percent of the respondents from Thailand and 64 percent of the respondents from Hong Kong.

The PwC Global Insights Survey 2019 included respondents from Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Denmark, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Indonesia, Ireland, Hungary, Malaysia, the Middle East, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Poland, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, the UK, the US and Vietnam.
