In 2020, the volume of wheat imports into Egypt amounted to 22.9 million metric tons, showing a drop compared to the import volume of the previous year at 15.9 million metric tons. During the period under review, the volume of imported wheat peaked in 2020, while was lowest in 2013 at 8.5 million metric tons.
