Value of wheat imported Egypt 2010-2022

In 2022, wheat imports into Egypt were worth around 1.3 billion U.S. dollars, showing a drop compared to 5.5 billion U.S. dollars in the previous year. During the period under review, the value of wheat imports was highest in 2014 at 5.9 billion U.S. dollars, while was lowest in 2022. Wheat is an important staple of the Egyptian diet, and therefore, places Egypt among the largest importers in the world.
