This statistic displays the share of the Scottish population who were prescribed antibiotics through primary care in 2023, by the number of items. In that year, 16.7 percent of the Scottish population were prescribed one antibiotic item, while 1.7 percent of people were prescribed six to twelve items. More than a quarter of Scotland's population had any item of prescribed antibiotics.
