Impact of geopolitical issues on M&A plans in the U.S. 2024

Among U.S. M&A dealmakers surveyed in June 2024, 28 percent expected geopolitical issues to increase their M&A activity, while 22 percent accelerated deals due to these factors. For 35 percent, geopolitical conditions have not affected their plans. Conversely, 18 percent of respondents reported changes in target types.
