In 2022, the national median charge amount for c-section was 35,907 U.S. dollars. That is, the median c-section cost for people without insurance or had obtained an out-of-network service. That year, women in New Jersey had the highest cost for having a baby by c-section without insurance amounting to over 51 thousand U.S. dollars. For people with insurance, the allowed amount is less than half of that without insurance, and actual out-of-pocket amount is even lower due to deductibles.
