In 2023, hydrous ethanol production in Brazil amounted to 21.41 million cubic meters, a 16.8 percent increase in comparison to the previous year. At the same time, production of anhydrous ethanol amounted to 13.97 million cubic meters, up from some 12.31 million cubic meters in 2022. The South American country recorded the highest production volume of ethanol fuel in 2019, at a total of 35.3 million cubic meters.
