Brazil's production of ethanol fuel reached a new record high in 2023, having surpassed 35 million cubic meters. This represented a year-on-year increase of roughly 15 percent. Despite some oscillation, ethanol fuel production in the South American country has been on a mostly upward trend over the last decade. Sugarcane is the main feedstock used for ethanol production in Brazil.
