This statistic presents the total number of pregnancy-related deaths* in Spain in 2017, by autonomous community. In that year, only seven autonomous communities registered pregnancy-related deaths, being Catalonia the one with the highest number of deaths, reaching only four. The number of deaths in Spain due to this type of condition amounted to 13 deaths in 2017, a figure that has remained roughly constant in the last years.
