E-commerce delivery preferences in selected countries in Europe 2020

This statistic provides an overview in the importance of certain delivery methods, namely being able to choose the time of delivery or the place of delivery, for online shoppers in different European countries in 2020. According to the survey data, consumers from France, Spain and Italy prefer to choose the location of their online order during checkout whilst consumers from the Netherlands, the Nordics region and Germany were less likely to pay attention to this during checkout.

The country where it is most common to purchase goods or services online in Europe is the United Kingdom, with 82 percent of the people shopping online. Within Germany, 75 percent of consumers used e-commerce. B2C e-commerce sales in Western Europe are forecasted to amount to a sum of approximately 448.69 billion U.S. dollars by 2019.
