This statistic illustrates the average merger and acquisition premiums to four week stock price worldwide in 2017 and 2018, by select regions and countries. Overall, average industry premiums increased in the EMEA region, Europe, United Kingdom and Japan. The United Kingdom, which had the highest industry average premiums increased from 31 percent in 2017 to 38.1 percent in 2018.
