In 2022, 86 percent of tourists who visited the Sambadrome Marquês de Sapucaí during the Carnival days in Brazil were Brazilians. Foreign visitors who took part of the festivities in the popular Brazilian destination accounted for only 14 percent of the total number of tourists at the event that year.
