One of the favorite snacks to enjoy during the Super Bowl in the United States is guacamole, a Mexican dish made out of avocados. In 2020, close to 127 thousand metric tons of avocado were exported from Michoacán, Mexico, to the United States to fulfill the rising demand during the Super Bowl. Despite the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, it was estimated that 132 thousand metric tons of the product would be exported for the season from the Mexican coastal state to the country's northern neighbor in 2021.
