Value of each red envelope planned during Spring festival in Hong Kong 2022-2024

According to a series of surveys conducted in Hong Kong annually before the Lunar New Year, around 54 percent of Hong Kong respondents planned to give out red envelopes worth on average 20 Hong Kong dollars in Spring festival of 2024, a higher proportion than in the previous two years. The share of respondents who were planning on giving 100 Hong Kong dollars or more has also increased slightly in 2024.
