This statistic depicts the distribution of smart city projects carried out in Italy in 2018, by type of project. According to data, the largest share of smart city projects implemented nationwide were in the field of smart mobility (40 percent), while smart living plans owned a share of 32 percent. Eventually, projects related to the natural environment accounted for the lowest share of smart city projects in the country (28 percent of all projects).
