The states of Santa Catarina and São Paulo, combined, receive more than half of Brazil's wine imports. In 2022, over 37 percent of the wine imported in Brazil was destined for the southern state of Santa Catarina, based on the imported value. Another 19 percent of imports had São Paulo as the state of destination, while almost 18 percent went to the state of Espírito Santo.
