This statistic displays the results of a survey of the alternatives chosen to avoid cooking in the Netherlands in 2018, by gender. The survey results show that as of 2018, the majority of respondents decided to cook anyway, or to eat a ready meal when they did not feel like cooking. The share of women who decided to cook despite not wanting to was slightly higher than the share of men who did so, at 51 percent. Meanwhile, the share of men who decided to go out for food was significantly higher than the share of women who did so, at approximately 25 percent.
