Out-of-pocket expenditure as share of health spending in Bolivia 2010-2021
In 2021, Bolivia's out-of-pocket health payments from households accounted for 23 percent of total health expenditure, a decrease of around 10 percentage points compared to the beginning of the decade, when household out-of-pocket health spending represented 33 percent of the total health expenditure in Bolivia. As of the last year depicted, household out-of-pocket health spending in the country amounted to roughly 612 million U.S. dollars.
