The biggest producers of electronic waste in the European Union are Germany and France, who in 2019 generated 1.6 million and 1.4 million metric tons of e-waste, respectively. Such amounts are considerably less than the volume of e-waste produced in China and the United States. E-waste is the fastest growing waste stream worldwide.
