Brazil: leading insurance companies 2019, by net premiums
In 2019, Bradesco Saúde led the ranking of leading insurance companies in Brazil based on net premiums written. That year, the company reported more than 6.1 billion U.S. dollars of net premiums written. It was followed by SulAmérica Cia Saúde, with net premiums amounting to over 4.3 billion dollars. Although they ranked in fourth place regarding net premiums, Porto Cia was considered Brazil's leading insurance company based on the number of employees.
