According to a survey conducted in Italy in 2018, the majority of Italians wished there were more public incentives and policies in favor of electric cars. Only 14 percent of respondents thought that the current incentives were sufficient, while six percent thought that there were too many incentives already in place. Between 2017 and 2018, the market share of electric cars in Italy more than doubled.
