DEGIRO revenue 2017-2019

Between January 2019 up until the end of October 2019, the revenue of online broker DEGIRO had reached a total of more than 44 million euros. "2017" provides a total of all four quarters of 2017, whilst "Q1 2018" only covers the first quarter of 2018. "H1 2018" includes both the first and the second quarter of 2018, with "Q3 2018" being a total of all quarters of 2018 up until that point. DEGIRO is an investment company from the Netherlands that aims to make stock exchange information accessible to retail investors via desktop, tablets and smartphones which can then be traded on their platform for a fee. Due to Brexit uncertainty and a reluctance among consumers to invest, the client base of DEGIRO slowed down in its growth in early 2019.

DEGIRO is comparable to other Dutch online brokers like BinckBank and Evi Van Lanschot. BinckBank is a discount online broker from the Netherlands which provides financial services for retail and professional investors. Currently, it is active in Belgium, France, Italy and the Netherlands. At the end of June 2018, the total assets under management (AUM) of BinckBank had decreased to roughly 890 million euros with total transactions grew to around ten million.

DEGIRO’s competitors: Evi Van Lanschot

Evi van Lanschot is an online broker from the Netherlands where consumers can start investing with low amounts of money (either with a deposit of at least 1,000 euros or around 100 euros per month) and is meant to target people who are new to wealth management. It is a branch from private bank Van Lanschot Kempen. Currently, the broker is active in both the Netherlands as well as Belgium. At the end of 2018, the client base from Evi van Lanschot had increased to 16,000 clients whereas AUM decreased due to “challenging market conditions”.
