Yearly change in Canadians' shopping 2020-2021, by category
The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has caused shopping behavior to change in many ways, including what products consumers shop for. In Canada, the share of consumers buying personal care products and electronics has remained relatively stable in 2021, dropping only by a couple of percent, compared to the previous year. Tickets for sports, music, and other events took the biggest hit, declining by nearly 30 percent in the past 12 months.
