According to a survey from 2021, 54 percent of Swedish and Norwegian respondents each stated to have watched television via connected TV boxes on a weekly basis. Among the Nordics, Finnish people watched TV via connected TV boxes the less.

A connected TV box is an over-the-top device such as an Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV or Google Chromecast.
