
Health coverage in Chile 2020, by age
In 2020, the majority of the population in Chile was covered by the FONASA, a public health coverage scheme. That year, approximately 83.7 percent of people aged 60 years or more had the public health coverage provided by FONASA. Meanwhile, about 94.4 percent of Chileans aged 30 to 44 years were covered by the health system, either with a public or a private health care scheme.
