This statistic displays the results of an Ipsos survey concerning the perceived likelihood of security threats in Belgium in 2018, by type of threat.
The survey results suggest that as of 2018, a large share of the public considered public and personal security threats and violations to be more likely than natural disasters or health epidemics in Belgium.
Approximately 80 percent of people surveyed considered there to be a very real or real threat of a terrorist attack taking place in Belgium, whereas just under 30 percent of respondents thought that the outbreak of a health epidemic was likely.
