Aggregate private equity capital raised in Benelux 2017-2018

This statistic shows the total aggregate private equity capital raised by firms located in the Benelux-countries (Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands) from 2017 to 2018. Private equity is a form of equity, shares representing ownership or an interest in an entity, that is not publicly traded. Typically, the investors are high net worth individuals and large institutional investors. It can take different shapes, such as a management buyout, management buying (MBI), a divisional buyout or venture capital for starting companies through an angel investor. In Luxembourg, 2.4 billion euros worth of aggregate capital was raised between 2017 and up to May 2018.
