Deaths caused by liver cancer in Spain 2006-2022

In 2022, the number of deaths as a result of malignant liver tumors and intrahepatic bile ducts in Spain amounted to 5,209 cases, up from 5,066 deceases reported a year prior. During the analyzed period, the number of deaths caused by liver cancer experienced an upward trend, ranging from 4,400 in 2006 to a peak of 5,209 fatal cases in 2022. As of 2022, the European country had 26 registered liver transplant centers.
