This statistic displays the electrical generation by natural gas in Great Britain from 2014 to 2018. The generation from natural gas increased significantly in 2016 when compared to the previous year to 127.3 terawatt-hours. Since then, generation has declined to to 115.4 terawatt-hours.
Natural gas production in the United Kingdom declined annually from 2003 to 2013. However, in the following years production gradually increased, amounting to approximately 42 billion cubic meters in 2017. This is still significantly lower than the 107.8 billion cubic meters recorded in 2003.
