During the period surveyed, the two state-run car brands, Perodua and Proton, had the highest level of public visibility, with 87 percent of respondents indicating that they have heard of Perodua, followed by 86 percent for Proton. The two Malaysian car brands with the lowest levels of public recognition are Bufori and TD2000, with 8 percent of respondents having heard of these two brands respectively.
