Annual book readership in the Netherlands 2017-2020
As of June 2020, 92 percent of consumers in the Netherlands reported having read at least one book in the last 12 months, down by one percent from the corresponding period of 2019. Book readership in the Netherlands is overall higher than in early 2017, when just 77 percent of survey participants aged 13 or above said that they had read a book in the past year.
