In 2023, the Anti Corruption Behavior Index (IPAK) in Indonesia stood at 3.92 points, showing an increase compared to 2013. This indicated that Indonesians viewed their society as less corrupt in 2023 than it was in 2013. Indonesia's Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has gained a global reputation in prosecuting of corruption cases since its establishment in 2003, however, the recent controversies regarding Indonesia's new anticorruption law in 2019 and the failure rate of civic knowledge tests in May 2021 made KPK slowly losing its public trust.
Anti corruption behavior index in Indonesia from 2013 to 2023
The index shows the level of anti corruption behavior among Indonesian households according to the Indonesian government on a scale of 0 to 5, where 0 is highly corrupt and 5 is very clean. The index includes bribery, extortion and nepotism.
The index was not available for the year 2016.
