This statistic presents the results of a survey in China on perceived number of years with the highest temperatures worldwide since 1961 in the last 18 years as of October 2018. According to data published by Ipsos, Chinese respondents underestimated the number of the hottest years in the past 18 years. On average, the respondents thought that seven years in the last 18 years were the hottest ever in the world, when the actual number of years was 17.
