Health spending in Belize as share of GDP 2010-2021
In 2021, spending on healthcare represented five percent of Belize's gross domestic product (GDP), the same value recorded since 2014. This figure was relatively stable during the period analyzed, ranging from an equivalent of four to five percent of the country's GDP. In comparison, that year Cuba's healthcare spending corresponded to 14 percent of its GDP, the highest value reported among Latin American and Caribbean countries.
