This statistic illustrates the share of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) deals where the value recognition index (VRI) was higher than zero percent worldwide between 2010 and 2017, by industry of acquiring company. It can be seen that financial institutions saw the highest percentage of deals where VRI was more than zero with 39.3 percent. At the other end of the scale companies in the primary sector industry saw less than a quarter of deals having a VRI of over zero percent.
