Over the observed period, the average labor cost in the Hungarian manufacturing industry increased from 3.7 euros an hour in 2000 to approximately 11.1 euros per hour by 2022. However, this value was still considerably lower than the average of the European Union which was measured at 30.5 euros per hour.
