The number of surgeries for obesity in Denmark increased significantly in 2010, amounting to almost 4.4 thousand surgeries. It decreased in the following years, until 2015 when there were 630 surgeries for obesity. The number increased again the following years, and was around 1.6 thousand in 2023.
