Leading DIY and gardening retailers in Sweden 2020, by number of outlets

As of 2020, Colorma was the largest DIY retail company in Sweden with 165 stores. The second largest DIY and gardening retailer was XL-BYGG with its chains Byggtrygg and XLbyg, operating a number of 125 outlets. When looking at the revenue, Colorma ranked tenth with 75 million euros and XL-BYGG came in third place with 454 million euros. As of 2020, Byggmax was the largest DIY retail company based on its revenue, reaching 551 million euros.

As of July 2019, Dansk Landbrugs Grovvareselskab ranked first with a revenue of approximately 48.9 billion Danish kroner. One of the co-operative company's main business areas are farm supplies. It was ahead of Stark Danmark A/S, belonging to the Stark Group. The retailer and distributor of building materials generated a revenue of approximately 6.8 million Danish kroner.

DIY stores in Norway

In the revenue ranking of DIY companies in Norway, Optimera AS was leading. As of October 2019, the company made a revenue of almost 8.4 billion Norwegian kroner. Mestergruppen Byggevare AS followed with a revenue of roughly 7.2 billion Norwegian kroner.
