According to the most recent data, Spain ranked first with 97 percent of artists signed to independent record labels choosing to renew their contracts, 20 percent higher than the global average of 77 percent. France, Italy and Belgium were at the bottom of the list with less than 50 percent of artists in each country making the decision to renew with their independent label.
