As of 2018, approximately 40 percent of the devices used by businesses were desktop computers, a year on year decrease compared to the previous years. Thin clients, a lightweight computer, saw a small rise in usage, whereas laptops had a significant increase as well from 19.9 percent in 2011 to roughly 30 percent in 2018.
