According to a survey conducted between late December 2019 and early January 2020, 58 percent of respondents from South Africa were worried about financial and political corruption in their country, compared to 10 percent of respondents from Germany.

* Participants were aged between 18 and 74 years in the United States, South Africa, Turkey, Israel and Canada.
The countries included in the survey were: Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, France, Great Britain, Germany, Hungary, India, Israel, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, The Netherlands, Peru, Poland, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Turkey and the United States. Around 1,000 people per country participated.
