Running: motivations for running Spain 2017
This statistic presents the share of runners that responded with regards to their reasons to train, by type of motivation. The main motivations that brought runners to train in 2017 were fitness and health, with a total share of approximately 74 percent and 55 percent of respondents marking this option as a reason to run. On the flip side, only around 16 percent of runners reported their main goal was to train for a race.
