The highest suicide rate in Norway during the period from 2019 to 2023 was among men from 75 years and older, where there were approximately 24 suicides per hundred thousand. For females in the same group, the suicide rate was 5.6 per hundred thousand. The rate was significantly higher among men than women for all age groups.
