It reveals that 2007 was the year with the highest number of arrests for public drunkenness. 89,072 arrests for public intoxication were made this year, whereas 51,650 arrests on the same grounds occurred in 2017.

Until 2011, cases of public and obvious drunkenness leading to an offense or emergency police intervention were counted. Since 2012, only offenses that have been prosecuted by a police court are taken into account.
