In 2023, Universal had the largest market share of major film distributors, holding one-fifth of the market. Walt Disney and Warner Brothers had around a 19 percent share apiece, whereas Roadshow and Fox held a comparatively small market share.
The cinema market in Australia
The Australian cinema market is stable, enjoying stable attendance numbers prior to the COVID-19 pandemic and comparatively steady growth in ticket prices.
