The statistic displays the results of a survey regarding preferred purchase locations for products in the Netherlands in 2018. The survey result show that as of 2018, consumers surveyed preferred to purchase products in their local shopping area. Close to 45 percent of respondents preferred shopping in the shopping area of their own municipality, while eight percent of respondents gave preference to shopping in larger cities such as Amsterdam or Rotterdam.
